Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Lean Analyst opening to join our Lean organization. Day to Day Today, you might be eliminating waste in the operation. Tomorrow you'll be teaching and coaching the use of WPS tools and principles to others. And, you might be purchasing and installing new equipment. You may also be working with teams to drive improvements through OPEX (6 sigma) project work. What You Will Do * Implement lean manufacturing principles * Responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery * Responsible for planning, budgeting and installing new equipment as well as design fixtures that will reduce cycle time, improve ergonomics and reduce defects for operator * Work with operations to improve production * Manage projects with no known solution. Lead projects with multiple team members, defining individual roles to maximize resources * Accountable for determining root cause of problems and implementing corrective & preventative actions * Ability to provide strategic direction for operating system * Responsible for training lean manufacturing techniques to others * Create and drive qualifications for new and changing processes * Assisting factory master plan initiatives in the division * Ability to perform capacity analysis * Supervise and lead lean technicians on standardized work and other WPS tools Qualifications What You Need to Succeed * Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent * Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts * Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to work in a team environment * Strong written and oral communication skills * Proficiency using quality tools particularly developing PFMEAs, Control Plans, 8D, Poka Yoke * Must be proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office, MS Project * Ability to use statistical software to perform gauge R&Rs, control charts, and process capability * Proven leadership ability, excellent communicator, confidence inspirer, and self motivator * Use project management tools including Gantt charts, project scoping and defining tools * OPEX training a plus Endless Opportunities Whirlpool has big plans for the future, just like you.
