Area of Drywall and Lath Installation Specialization: Acoustical ceilings, Metal lath ceilings, Exterior prefabricated wall and partition systems, Exterior prefabricated wall panels, Textured ceilings, Decorative finishes and accessories
Specific Skills: Clean and prepare surfaces, Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency, Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster, Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exterior surfaces, Finish corners and angles, Create decorative designs in finish coat, Mould and install ornamental fixtures, Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, Measure, cut and fit and install drywall sheets, Cut and install metal corner beads, Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks, Tape over joints with tape and compound, Sand seams and joints, Fabricate grids for acoustical and coffered ceilings, Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring, Cut openings in laths for piping, ducts and electrical outlets, Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation, Erect scaffolding
